Project Location

The Kesiksuyu (Mehmetli) Dam is located approximately 7 km north of Sumbas District of Osmaniye Province via the existing road, within the boundaries of Sumbas District. The nearest settlement to the dam site is Mehmetli town and its affiliated Gafarlı Village, located approximately 3 km to the south. The dam is situated on Kesiksuyu Stream and has been constructed for irrigation purposes. The Yamaç Hydroelectric Power Plant (HPP) Project is installed at the outlet of the bottom outlet of the Mehmetli Dam.

At the Yamaç HPP powerhouse building, the water conveyed through a penstock branching off from the bottom outlet of the Mehmetli Dam will be utilized for power generation.
